FIRM RESUME Bogert & Rembold is a full-service litigation firm concentrating in General and Complex Civil Litigation, Trial and Appellate Practice, Commercial Litigation, Creditors’ Rights, Construction, Insurance Liability, Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith, Product Liability, Medical/Professional Malpractice, Aviation, Class Actions, and Maritime Litigation. Jeffrey Bogert was born in Norfolk, Virginia on March 7, 1966. He received his B.B.A. from Florida International University in 1989. He continued his education at the University of Miami School of Law, where he earned Dean’s List honors and graduated cum laude in 1994. During law school, Mr. Bogert served as the Director of the University of Miami’s Student Legal Research Service and was a member of the University of Miami Entertainment & Sports Law Review. Mr. Bogert was formerly a partner in the Miami office of the global law firm of Baker & McKenzie and became a founding member of Bogert & Rembold in July 2004. Mr. Bogert has worked extensively in all phases of complex commercial litigation, international litigation, insurance defense, medical malpractice, product liability, and toxic tort in both state and federal courts, including trials and arbitrations. Mr. Bogert has been admitted to the Florida Bar, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida since 1994. He is a member of the Dade County Bar Association. Mr. Bogert is conversant in Spanish. Scott D. Rembold was born in Milbank, South Dakota on August 25, 1967. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin, with distinction, in 1989. He attended law school at the University of Miami, and obtained his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in 1994. While obtaining his J.D. degree, Mr. Rembold earned Dean’s List honors, served as Editor-in-Chief of the Business Law Journal (1993-94), and was elected to the Bar and Gavel Honor Society. Mr. Rembold was formerly a partner at Elder, Vaccarella, Lewis & Rembold and became a founding member of Bogert & Rembold in July 2004. Mr. Rembold has worked extensively in all phases of complex commercial litigation, insurance defense, legal, medical and other professional malpractice, product liability, aviation, construction, class actions and maritime law, including both bench and jury trials. Mr. Rembold has been admitted to the Florida Bar since 1994, and the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida since 1995. Mr. Rembold is a member of the Dade County Bar Association. Mr. Rembold is also the Vice Chair of the Steering Committee of the Young Constructors Forum of the South Florida Chapter of the Associated General Contractors and is a member of the Greater Miami Aviation Association. He is conversant in Spanish. |
